"Perfect mini-hotel is located at Nevsky Prospekt, 51 in the historic part of St. Petersburg.
This house was built in 1834-1835 for the Guard Lieutenant Kozhevnikov. It hasnt practically changed its appearance since the time of construction.
So we can see the building exactly the same as Ivan Goncharov the author of "Oblomov" novel. The book was written here in the middle of the XIX century.
At the beginning of the XX century the building was bought by merchant V.I. Solovyov. A branch of "Big Northern" hotel as well as "Moulin Rouge" cinema were opened here at that time. The entrance to the cinema was brightly decorated in modern style."
In the 1910s, Efimov’s banking house was located here. In Soviet times there were various offices and shops, the hotel kept working.
